Job summary

Henkel in İzmit, Turkey seeks a Digital Engineer to lead Smart Factory Systems and digital transformation across manufacturing operations. You will drive data analytics, ML, and AI initiatives, partnering with OT, IT, and SAP/MES teams to enable data-driven decisions and operational excellence.

The role requires a background in computer/software engineering, 4–6 years in related tech roles, strong Python/SQL skills, and fluent English for global collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related disciplines.
• 4-6 years of experience in IT, software development, digital transformation, or related technology roles, preferably in manufacturing.
• Experience in software development, custom software solutions, and implementation of new digital systems.
• Proven experience in AI, Machine Learning, and data analytics projects, including knowledge of ML algorithms and their practical applications.
• Hands-on experience with Python and SQL.
• Strong project management experience, including end-to-end delivery, cross-functional coordination, and stakeholder management.
• Leadership experience and ability to collaborate effectively with local and regional teams.
• Fluent written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Lead SFS and digital transformation initiatives across manufacturing operations to improve productivity, quality, traceability, and efficiency.
• Manage delivery of data analytics, machine learning, and AI projects that drive business value.
• Collaborate with production, quality, supply chain, OT, and IT to implement digital manufacturing solutions.
• Drive integration of SFS, SAP, MES, automation systems, and enterprise platforms for seamless data flow.
• Analyze manufacturing and business data using Python, SQL, and advanced analytics to generate insights.
• Lead project planning and execution including scope, timelines, budgets, resources, and risk management.
• Mentor a team of engineers and analysts, fostering innovation and technical excellence.
• Develop and monitor KPIs, dashboards, and reporting to measure impact of digital solutions.
• Ensure compliance with standards, cybersecurity, data governance, and PM best practices.
• Stay current with AI, ML, analytics, Industry 4.0, and translate into practical business applications.

About this Position

DigitalEngineer is responsible for leading the implementation, support, enhancement,and digital transformation of Smart Factory Systems (SFS) across manufacturingoperations. The role drives data-driven decision making through advancedanalytics, machine learning, AI initiatives, and integration of manufacturingsystems with ERP, MES, and OT environments. The position leads cross-functionalteams and manages digital transformation projects that improve operationalefficiency, productivity, traceability, and manufacturing performance.

What you´ll do

• Lead Smart Factory Systems (SFS) and digitaltransformation initiatives across manufacturing operations to improveproductivity, quality, traceability, and operational efficiency.
• Manage the delivery of data analytics, machinelearning, and AI projects that drive business value and supportdata-driven decision making.
