Job summary

UNICEF Türkiye seeks a Deputy Representative to lead country programme development and ensure delivery of results for children. The role requires strategic oversight, strong partnerships with public and private sectors, and effective coordination across UNICEF and UN System partners.

The Deputy Representative will drive program quality, provide senior advisory support to the CO, and uphold UNICEF's values in fragile settings, including safeguarding and ethical standards.

Qualifications

• Advanced university degree in social sciences, international relations, government and public relations, public or social policy, sociology, social or community development, or another relevant field.
• Minimum of ten years of professional development experience in development cooperation at international level, including leadership roles.
• Experience in any UN system is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Lead CO programme planning and development.
• Support the Representative in managing the CO.
• Monitor and ensure quality of programmes.
• Represent UNICEF and build alliances and UN system coordination.
• Engage private sector partnerships and drive innovation and knowledge management.
• Oversee security of personnel, programmes and assets.
