Job summary

Rollic, an Istanbul-based game developer and publisher, is seeking a data scientist to design and deploy ML models for games. You will build A/B systems, cohort predictions, and analytics pipelines with Python/SQL, Snowflake, and Tableau in a fast-paced environment.

Join a team applying rigorous statistics to improve gameplay and engagement, collaborating across game teams and leveraging AWS and modern data tooling to ship impactful experiments.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Math, Statistics, Economics, or related fields; Master or Ph.D.
• 2+ years of work experience in data science, machine learning, or analytics
• Experience with A/B testing, machine learning, statistics, and data visualization
• Proficient in Python and SQL; experience with large datasets in Snowflake or similar systems
• Strong written and oral communication skills

Responsibilities

• Use AWS, Snowflake, Airflow, Tableau and DBT to develop innovative tools
• Develop and maintain A/B experiment system
• Design user-level and cohort-level prediction systems
• Collaborate with gaming teams to build, test, verify, and deploy ML models
• Apply statistical methods to evaluate performance and manage uncertainty

Rollic has over 3.5 billion downloads across its diverse portfolio of games and, thanks to an intensive development process utilizing a massive test pipeline, has a steady cadence of globally hit titles such as Color Block Jam, Timeline Up, Crowd Express: Boarding Puzzle, Hole People, Knit Out, Gecko Out, Drop Away all of which have gained millions of downloads worldwide within a few months after their release.

Main Responsibilities

• Using our modern tech stack; AWS, Snowflake, Airflow, Tableau and DBT to develop innovative tools;
• Developing and maintaining A/B experiment system,
• Designing user‑level and cohort‑level prediction systems,
• Working closely with gaming teams to craft, test, verify, and implement machine learning models to make our games better,
• Applying statistical methodologies to evaluate performance and accounting for uncertainties in major initiatives;

Desired Skills and Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Math, Statistics, Economics, or related fields; Master or Ph.D.,
• 2+ years of work experience in data science, machine learning, or analytics role,
• Demonstrated experience with some or all of the following: A/B testing systems, machine learning, statistics, data visualization,
• Proficient in Python and SQL; Experience in applying machine learning on large datasets, preferably using Snowflake or similar cloud data systems.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
