Job summary

SunExpress in Antalya is seeking a Data Protection/Information Technology Law attorney for a fixed-term position based in Antalya. You will develop and draft data protection contracts, provide legal advice on DPIA and IT topics, and coordinate with the DPO and IT Directorate to embed legal requirements in projects.

The role requires a law degree, Bar Association membership, English proficiency, and at least 2 years in information security or data protection, with German language knowledge

Qualifications

• University graduation from Faculty of Law.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in information security and/or data protection.
• Bar Association membership.

Responsibilities

• Developing and drafting contracts or contact clauses within the scope of data protection and IT related legislation.
• Providing legal advise on data protection and IT relevant topics.
• Providing advice on Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIA) and monitoring their performance.
• Ensuring data protection legal requirements are embedded in projects and applications and ensuring effective coordination between the IT Directorate and DPO.
• To perform the duties assigned by the DPO in accordance with the risk assessment.
• Monitoring data management procedures to ensure compliance with relevant data protection legislation.
• Assisting DPO and Data Protection Assistant Officer to comply with the related data protection laws in terms of business systems and applications.
• Participating in all projects in order to provide guidance and advice to Data Protection Officer and Data Protection Assistant Officer for IT relevant issues.
• Planning the digitalization processes of the DPO and ensuring the implementation of the plan upon approval of the DPO.
• Assisting Data Protection Assistant Officer regarding the variety of Data Protection queries and data subject requests arising from their rights under KVKK and GDPR.
• Fulfilment of all other responsibilities assigned by Legal Director and Data Protection Officer.
• Assisting the Data Protection Officer and Data Protection Assistant Manager in coordinating the data breach response plan management process.

Qualifications

• Good Knowledge of English language
• Knowledge of German language preferable
• University graduation from Faculty of Law
• Experience in Personal Data Protection Legislation and Information Technology Law
• A reasonable understanding of what technical and organizational measures the organization should have in place for data protection and be familiar with information technologies and data security
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the information security and/or data protection area
• Membership of Bar Association
• Well-developed and professional interpersonal skills
