Grid Dynamics is seeking a Data Platform Engineer to manage and scale our core data infrastructure, enabling data science and engineering teams with reliable, streamlined processes.

You will work with on-premise Kubernetes, Airflow, and Spark at scale, focusing on governance, observability, and robust CI/CD pipelines to support production workloads. Grid Dynamics (NASDAQ: GDYN) is a leading provider of technology consulting and data analytics solutions with global offices.

Qualifications

• Experience with distributed systems and production Kubernetes.
• Hands-on Apache Spark scaling and administration.
• Strong CI/CD, Docker, and data pipeline orchestration (Python/Airflow).
• Data engineering fundamentals: schema design, partitioning, and modern table formats.
• Authentication, access control, and data governance experience.
• Observability and on-call monitoring with Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry.

Responsibilities

• Manage and scale on-premise Kubernetes clusters, Airflow orchestrations, and Spark infrastructure.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for deployment, governance, and authentication.
• Perform storage optimization across HDFS and cloud object stores.
• Maintain observability, monitor health, and participate in on-call rotation.
• Optimize table formats and query performance (Iceberg, Hive, Trino, Presto).
