Job summary

TikTak, Turkey's leading car solution provider, is seeking a Data Engineer to architect and evolve our data platform end-to-end. You will own the semantic/metrics layer and build a trusted self-service BI foundation for business users across the company.

Joining TikTak means shaping data strategy, enforcing standards, and driving scalable pipelines with dbt, Airflow, and AWS (S3, Redshift, Glue, Lambda). You will mentor engineers as the platform grows and impact daily decision-making with

Qualifications

• 7+ years in data/analytics engineering, including building a data platform from the ground up.
• Deep SQL and Python with production-grade data systems.
• Expert with the modern data stack: dbt, Airflow, and a cloud data warehouse.
• Strong AWS experience (S3, Redshift, Glue, Lambda).
• Built or owned self-service/semantic layers that non-technical teams actually use.
• Translate business strategy into technical direction and drive architectural trade-offs.

Responsibilities

• Architect TikTak's data platform end-to-end — ingestion, warehouse, transformation, and the self-service layer on top.
• Designing and owning the semantic/metrics layer — single source of truth for every KPI.
• Building the self-service BI foundation for business teams to answer their own questions with trusted data.
• Setting standards: data modeling, dimensional design, testing, CI/CD, governance.
• Building scalable pipelines with dbt, Airflow, and the modern data stack on AWS (S3, Redshift, Glue, Lambda).
• Optimizing performance and cost at scale on Redshift / PostgreSQL.
• Partnering with leadership and business units to turn strategy into data infrastructure.
• Mentoring engineers and analysts as the platform and team scale.

• Architecting TikTak's data platform end-to-end — ingestion, warehouse, transformation, and the self-service layer on top
• Designing and owning the semantic / metrics layer — the single source of truth for every KPI in the company
• Building the self-service BI foundation that lets business teams answer their own questions with data they trust
• Setting the standards: data modeling, dimensional design, testing, CI/CD, governance — the playbook the whole team runs on
• Building scalable pipelines with dbt, Airflow, and the modern data stack on AWS (S3, Redshift, Glue, Lambda)
• Optimizing for performance and cost at scale on Redshift / PostgreSQL
• Partnering directly with leadership and business units to turn strategy into data infrastructure
• Mentoring engineers and analysts as the platform — and the team — scales
• 7+ years in data / analytics engineering, including building a data platform from the ground up
• Deep SQL and Python — you've shipped production-grade data systems, not just written queries
• Expert with the modern data stack: dbt (including the semantic/metrics layer), Airflow, and a cloud warehouse
• Strong AWS experience (S3, Redshift, Glue, Lambda, EC2)
• Mastery of data modeling and dimensional design — with strong opinions on doing it right
• You've built or owned self-service / semantic layers that non-technical teams actually use
• You think in reliability, scalability, and cost — and you make architectural trade-offs deliberately
• You translate business strategy into technical direction, and you bring others along with you
• Ability to translate business requirements into robust, well-documented data solutions.
