Job summary

Crossing Hurdles is seeking a highly skilled life sciences researcher to design agentic workflows and multi-step analyses using AI tools. The role emphasizes reproducible research, validation of both reasoning and computational outputs, and rigorous data handling.

The candidate will develop datasets, inputs, constraints, and deliverables, and contribute to creating robust grading criteria for automated assessment. This is a full-time position in Turkey.

Qualifications

• Ph.D., postdoctoral, or equivalent research experience in life sciences.
• Strong computational/programming experience, especially Python.
• Experience with multi-step computational analyses.
• Ability to independently validate scientific reasoning and computations.
• Experience with scientific datasets, tools, and reproducible workflows.

Commitment: Full-time (40 hours/week), with at least 4 hours overlap during PST business hours

Role Responsibilities

• Design challenging, realistic agentic scientific workflows across the life sciences.
• Create multi-step computational scientific tasks requiring AI agents to inspect data, select methods, execute analyses, troubleshoot problems, and synthesize results.
• Develop realistic input files, scientific datasets, instructions, constraints, and expected deliverables.
• Create reproducible expert solutions and objectively verifiable ground truths.
• Design robust automated or semi-automated grading criteria.

Requirements

• Ph.D., postdoctoral, or equivalent research experience in the life sciences, with strong demonstrated computational and scientific-programming experience.
• Strong scientific programming experience, particularly in Python.
• Experience performing multi-step computational scientific analyses.
• Ability to independently validate both scientific reasoning and computational outputs.
• Experience working with scientific datasets, computational tools, and reproducible research workflows.
