Job summary

Responsibilities

• Lead purchasing strategies for supplier scope, identify market opportunities, manage suppliers list and cost reduction programs.
• Oversee sourcing process according to plant and project needs, ensuring quality, cost and delivery objectives; ensure spend authorization rules are followed and contracts set up properly.
• Manage the order to pay process, verify that spend authorization rules are respected, monitor payment terms and ensure suppliers are paid on time.
• Handle supplier crises if necessary and support escalation activities.
• Contribute to Purchasing Budget with sustainable cost-saving activities.
• Manage productivity, supply base, debt management, right first time invoicing, and sourcing per targets.
• Propose commodity strategy and manage the supply base accordingly.
• Perform market analysis (benchmark, fairs, trends, innovation).
• Manage supplier relationships according to PO purchasing policy and monitor supplier performance.
• Lead supplier sourcing processes and negotiations with suppliers and internal customers.
• Oversee contract management with suppliers and ensure commodity Q, C, T targets.

Job Description

• Is in charge of the purchasing strategies for his supplier scope, identifying the market opportunities (economical, technological and geographical), managing his suppliers list & the cost reduction programs.
• Is responsible for the sourcing process according to the plant & project needs in observation of the deontology rules and in the objectives set in terms of quality, cost and delivery.
• Is in charge of the “order to pay” process: verifies that the spend authorization rules are respected, that the necessary orders and contracts are set-up properly and tracks the conditions of application. Ensures that the suppliers are paid in the term negotiated.
• Manages if necessary any crisis with the suppliers and supports any escalation activities.
• Contributes to the Purchasing Budget with sustainable cost saving activities
• Productivity, supply base management, debt management, right first time invoicing, sourcing in compliance with target.
• Proposes the commodity strategy and manages the supply base accordingly
• He is responsible for market analysis (benchmark, professional fairs, market trends, innovation...)
• Manages the suppliers relationships according to PO purchasing policy
• Follows and reports the suppliers performance
• Leads the suppliers sourcing process in the respect of the procedures
• Leads negotiation with the suppliers and internal customers
• He is responsible for contract management with suppliers
• Is responsible for his commodity in terms of Q, C, T
• Promotes the technical savings proposed by the suppliers
• Takes part or leads internal working groups for technical savings identification or problem solving
• Leads each time necessary the problem solving process
• He’s responsible for the risk management of his commodity (financial health of suppliers, M&A, dependence ratio…)
• Commits & Manages his portfolio in line with budget
• Follows the CSR objectives of the company and ensures that it is being applied on his scope
• He is committed to the respect of legal & environmental rules applicable on its markets
