Job summary

FB Group is seeking a senior executive to lead aviation operations, airport management, and ground handling across West Africa. The role requires strategic oversight, stakeholder engagement, and strong leadership to drive operational excellence in an international structure.

The candidate will oversee daily airport operations, safety, and efficiency, with focus on ORAT, aerodrome certification, budgeting, and cross-functional coordination in multicultural teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aviation Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, or Aeronautical Engineering.
• Minimum 13 years in aviation industry, including at least 5 years in a managerial role.
• Knowledge of ICAO, ACI, and IATA standards.
• Basic understanding of aviation and airport security per ICAO SARPs.
• Experience in ORAT, Aerodrome Certification Process, and Aerodrome Manual procedures.
• Strong understanding of QMS, SMS, and AEP processes.
• Experience in Airside & Landside operations and ground handling.
• Strong leadership, team management, and organizational skills.
• Excellent stakeholder management and corporate communication skills.
• Budgeting and reporting experience.
• HR-related functions management.
• Proficient in MS Office and operational systems.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving.
• Ability to adapt quickly in multicultural environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate daily airport operations.
• Ensure compliance with international aviation standards.
• Lead operational readiness, airport transition, and aerodrome certification processes.
• Coordinate airport safety, quality, and emergency management processes.
• Ensure efficiency and continuity of ground handling operations.
• Analyze operational risks and develop action plans.
• Manage relationships with authorities, airlines, service providers, and stakeholders.
• Oversee budgeting, cost control, and operational performance processes.
• Monitor team performance and ensure cross-functional coordination.
• Lead process improvement and efficiency initiatives.
