Job summary

Vaillant Group Belgium seeks an engineer to contribute to new product introductions and ongoing improvements within our HVAC portfolio. You will translate customer needs into technical requirements, define functional solutions, and ensure product performance and compliance across the lifecycle.

You will coordinate verification activities, manage risks and testing strategies, and collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to support qualifications and global launches.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in Engineering opens the door to opportunities within the company.
• At least 2 years of professional experience in product and/or technology development, preferably in HVAC.
• Knowledge of HVAC industry, standards, product development and project management.
• Strong command of English for international collaboration with suppliers and stakeholders.
• Excellent organizational, problem‑solving and communication skills; ability to manage multiple projects in parallel.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to introducing new products and improving existing products per Vaillant Group standards and targets.
• Translate customer requirements into technical requirements, analyses, and solutions for Trading Goods products.
• Specify technical solutions, functions, and components ensuring performance, reliability and compliance.
• Plan verification and validation activities, manage risks (FMEA), define testing strategies, and coordinate changes.
• Collaborate with suppliers and cross‑functional teams to support product qualification and launches and drive sustaining engineering.

• Planning product verification and validation activities, identifying technical risks through FMEA, defining appropriate testing strategies, and coordinating modifications through final validation and certification.
• Collaborating with suppliers and cross-functional teams, including Quality, Purchasing, Supply Chain, Marketing, Technical Documentation to support successful product qualification and series launch.
• Driving technical problem-solving and sustaining engineering activities throughout the product lifecycle while identifying opportunities to improve product quality, cost, processes, and technical performance.
