Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Master's in Engineering, CS, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in BA, software testing, QA, or related roles.
• Experience translating business requirements into functional/technical specs.
• Solid knowledge of SDLC, STLC, and requirement management.
• Hands-on testing for backend, services, and API integrations.
• Experience with RESTful and SOAP API testing using Postman/SoapUI/Swagger.
• Strong SQL knowledge and familiarity with Oracle or MongoDB.
• Ability to prepare analysis documents, use cases, and test cases.
• Ability to perform impact analysis for new developments and changes.
• Familiarity with Jira, Azure DevOps, HP ALM/Quality Center, Confluence, TestRail.
• Awareness of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Understanding of system integrations, data flows, and business processes.
• Basic automation concepts and familiarity with Karate, Selenium, etc. (a plus).
• Basic scripting knowledge in Java/Python/Ruby (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Analyze business needs and system change requests with business/technical teams.
• Gather, clarify, document, and manage requirements through the project lifecycle.
• Prepare functional analysis docs, process diagrams, use cases, user stories, acceptance criteria, and data mappings.
• Identify affected systems, services, integrations, and data flows via impact analysis.
• Translate requirements into test scenarios and cases for backend services, APIs, and processes.
• Design, prepare, and maintain test scenarios and cases; perform API, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Verify API requests/responses and data structures using Postman/SoapUI/Swagger.
• Support various testing activities including functional, regression, system, and UAT testing.
• Ensure solutions meet requirements and acceptance criteria; track defects and provide reproduction steps.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and QA engineers; support regulatory/production testing as needed.
• Maintain traceability between requirements, development items, tests, and defects.
• Contribute to test automation frameworks where applicable and improve QA processes.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business needs, functional requirements, and system change requests in collaboration with business and technical teams.
• Gather, clarify, document, and manage business and system requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
• Prepare functional analysis documents, process diagrams, use cases, user stories, acceptance criteria, and data mapping documents.
• Identify affected systems, services, integrations, database objects, and business processes by performing impact analysis.
• Translate business requirements into comprehensive manual test scenarios and test cases.
• Design, prepare, execute, and maintain test scenarios and test cases for backend services, APIs, integrations, and business processes.
• Validate business rules and end-to-end processes through API testing, service integration testing, and database verification.
• Verify API requests, responses, error codes, data structures, and integration results using tools such as Postman and SoapUI.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, system, end-to-end, smoke, and user acceptance testing support activities.
• Verify that developed solutions meet documented business requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Identify requirement gaps, inconsistencies, risks, and potential process improvements during analysis and testing activities.
• Identify, document, prioritize, and track software defects throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Provide clear reproduction steps, expected results, actual results, test data, logs, and supporting evidence for identified defects.
• Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, business units, solution architects, project managers, and other QA engineers.
• Support business users during User Acceptance Testing activities and assist with issue analysis and resolution.
• Participate in release validation, deployment verification, and production smoke testing activities when required.
• Support root cause analysis for production issues and recurring defects.
• Ensure traceability between business requirements, development items, test cases, and defects.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to analysis, testing, documentation, and quality assurance processes.
• Contribute to the maintenance and gradual improvement of existing test automation frameworks where applicable.
• Ensure analysis standards, testing best practices, documentation quality, and quality assurance principles are consistently followed across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in business analysis, software testing, quality assurance, or similar roles.
• Experience in analyzing business requirements and converting them into clear functional and technical requirements.
• Strong knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC), software testing life cycle (STLC), and requirement management processes.
• Strong experience in manual testing, particularly for backend systems, services, and API integrations.
• Hands-on experience in RESTful and SOAP API testing using tools such as Postman, SoapUI, Swagger, or similar tools.
• Experience in validating API requests and responses, business rules, service integrations, and database consistency.
• Good knowledge of SQL and database concepts, preferably including Oracle, MongoDB, or similar database technologies.
• Experience in preparing business requirements, analysis documents, process flows, use cases, user stories, acceptance criteria, test scenarios, and test cases.
• Ability to perform impact analysis for new developments, enhancements, and system changes.
• Experience with defect, requirement, and test management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, HP ALM/Quality Center, Confluence, or TestRail.
• Familiarity with Agile and Scrum software development methodologies.
• Ability to understand system integrations, data flows, backend services, and business processes.
• Basic knowledge of automation testing concepts and familiarity with automation frameworks such as Karate, Selenium, Appium, Cucumber, or similar tools is a plus.
• Basic programming or scripting knowledge in Java, Python, Ruby, or similar languages is preferred.
• Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and tools such as Azure DevOps, GitLab, or Jenkins is considered an advantage.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
