Job summary

KINGSFORCE MANAGEMENT SERVICES PTE LTD is seeking an experienced WWTP Process Engineer in Singapore to support operation, monitoring, optimisation and continuous improvement of industrial and hazardous wastewater treatment systems. The role requires hands-on process engineering expertise with strong troubleshooting, process evaluation and parameter optimisation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Environmental Eng., Chemical Eng., Applied Chemistry, Biotechnology or related.
• Minimum 5 years in industrial or hazardous wastewater treatment.
• Hands-on experience operating wastewater treatment systems.
• Experience with advanced oxidation processes (Fenton, electrochemical, ozone, UV) advantageous.
• Experience with anaerobic/aerobic biological treatment and MBR preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and process optimisation capabilities.
• Good communication with operations, laboratory and management teams.
• Plant-based, hands-on operational environment capability.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor and optimise industrial and hazardous wastewater treatment systems.
• Adjust process parameters based on wastewater characteristics (COD, BOD, SS, oil & grease, toxicity).
• Evaluate incoming wastewater and pretreatment requirements.
• Design bench-scale testing and pilot trials.
• Provide technical recommendations for operational and commercial decisions.
• Troubleshoot issues including effluent non-compliance, membrane fouling and process instability.
• Prepare and maintain SOPs, operating parameters and technical reports.
• Guide technicians and laboratory personnel on sampling, testing and process adjustments.
• Participate in government inspections and customer audits.
