Job summary

HIGHWAY INTERNATIONAL PRIVATE LIMITED is seeking a WSH Coordinator to coordinate health & safety systems and conduct periodic inspections on-site. You will investigate incidents, report findings, and coordinate emergency preparedness plans while deploying WSH programmes and promoting safety awareness among workers.

The role requires 1–2 years of relevant experience, knowledge of the WSH Act, and a valid driving licence with own vehicle. Shift pattern is 12 hours, 4 days on, 3 days off.

Qualifications

• Possess Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health (Level B).
• Minimum 1-2 years of relevant work experience preferably in Construction field.
• Strong knowledge of Workplace Safety and Health Act.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Preferably with driving licence and own vehicle.
• Able to commit to rotating shift work: 12 hours, 4 days on / 3 days off.

Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Responsible for coordinating health & safety systems in the organisation;
2. Conduct periodic inspections to ensure that the implemented risk control measures are being observed and practised;
3. Investigate and report WSH incidents & coordinate implementation of emergency preparedness and response plans;
4. Required to work on-site in his course of work;
5. WSH Coordinator is practical and meticulous, required to observe safety hazards and deal in a prompt and decisive manner;
6. Deploy workplace safety and health (WSH) programmes;
7. Manage WSH performance;
8. Manage business continuity;
9. Develop workplace safety and health management systems
10. Assist the management in environmental, health & safety promotion to promote awareness among workers;
11. Under the WSH Act, employees have a duty to keep their workplace and colleagues safe:

• Cooperate with employers and follow safety and health procedure;
• Report unsafe acts and incidents;
• Do not tamper with safety devices or perform wilful or reckless acts; and

12. Be responsible for any other duties that may be assigned to you from time to time as your superior or management deem fit.

REQUIREMENT

• Possess Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health (Level B)
• Minimum 1-2 years of relevant work experience preferably in Construction field
• Strong knowledge of Workplace Safety and Health Act
• Proficiency in Microsoft (Words, Excel, Powerpoint)
• Preferably with driving / motorbike riding licence and possess own vehicle
• Able to commit to rotating shift work, 12 hours Work 4 Days Rest 3 Days.
