Job summary

Cornerstone Global Partners in Singapore is seeking an experienced Windows Server Administrator to patch, manage and optimise Windows Server and VMware ESXi environments. You will handle AD, GPOs, and cluster configurations while maintaining patch cycles and vulnerability management.

Ideal candidates have 6+ years in Windows Server administration, SLA-driven experience, and are comfortable weekend roster shifts and on-call duties as operational needs arise.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of Windows Server administration, maintenance and troubleshooting.

• Willing to support weekend shifts and weekday on-call as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform system administration of Windows Server and VMware environments.
• Administer Windows Server 2008/2012/2016/2019.
• Manage Active Directory including OUs, GPOs, forests and domains.
• Deploy and manage virtual machines using Hyper-V and VMware.
• Conduct end-to-end patch and vulnerability management across OS and ESXi.
• Perform patch assessments, plan deployments and remediation actions.
• Utilise patch management tools such as BigFix or SCCM.
• Automate pre- and post-patching maintenance tasks.
• Troubleshoot hardware, OS and VMware-related issues.
• Apply RAID and clustering concepts; perform BIOS/firmware upgrades.

Job description

Responsible for patching, system administration and vulnerability management across Windows Server and VMware ESXi infrastructure environments.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform system administration of Windows Server and VMware environments.

• Administer Windows Server 2008, 2012, 2016 and 2019.

• Manage Active Directory, including organisational units (OUs), Group Policy Objects (GPOs), forests and domain configurations.

• Deploy, configure and manage virtual machines using Hyper-V and VMware.

• Perform end-to-end patch and vulnerability management across operating system and ESXi environments.

• Conduct patch assessments, plan deployments and recommend remediation actions.

• Use patch management tools such as BigFix, SCCM or other relevant tools.

• Automate pre-patching and post-patching maintenance tasks.

• Troubleshoot hardware, operating system and VMware-related issues.

• Apply basic knowledge of RAID technologies, including RAID 0+1, RAID 1 and RAID 5.

• Apply basic knowledge of clustering technologies, including geo-clusters and active/passive multi-node configurations.

• Perform server BIOS and firmware upgrades, monitor system logs and maintain relevant tools.

Skills & Requirements

• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in Windows Server administration, including system maintenance, patch management and troubleshooting.

• Experience working in an SLA-driven enterprise environment.

• Ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented and dynamic working environment.

• Able to support scheduled weekend shifts on a roster basis and provide weekday on-call support when required by operational needs.
