Job summary

MEGAPEAK ENTERPRISE PRIVATE LIMITED is seeking a kitchen helper to support our Western restaurant team in Singapore. You will assist the chef with daily food preparation and handle basic tasks to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy lunch and dinner services.

Ideal candidates have some experience in Western cuisine or BBQ, can follow recipes, maintain high hygiene standards, and are physically fit to stand long hours. Shifts including weekends/public holidays may apply.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Western restaurant or kitchen is preferred.
• Experience with Western cuisine, BBQ, or grill preparation is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen operations.
• Able to follow recipes and instructions.
• Able to work efficiently in a busy kitchen environment.
• Responsible, hardworking, and willing to learn.
• Good personal hygiene and food safety awareness.
• Physically fit and able to stand for long periods.
• Willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays when required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the chef with daily food preparation and kitchen operations.
• Prepare vegetables, meat, chicken, seafood, and other ingredients for Western dishes.
• Assist with preparing steaks, grilled meats, burgers, pasta, salads, sandwiches, and other Western food items.
• Perform basic food preparation such as cutting, peeling, slicing, portioning, and marinating.
• Assist the kitchen team during busy lunch and dinner service.
• Wash dishes, pots, pans, trays, and kitchen utensils.
• Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, workstations, and food preparation areas.
• Carry out other kitchen duties assigned by the chef or supervisor.
