Job summary

GENIC Singapore is seeking a Junior Welding Operator to join our plastic welding, fabrication and assembly team. On-the-Job-Training (OJT) will be provided for candidates eager to learn and develop precision plastic processing skills.

You will perform precision plastic welding, prepare and assemble components, operate welding tools, follow methods and quality checks, and help meet production targets in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge or experience in plastic welding, fabrication or assembly is an advantage.
• OJT will be provided.
• Willingness to learn and fast learner.
• Good hand skills and attention to detail.
• Able to follow instructions and established procedures.
• Able to work in a fast-changing and dynamic manufacturing environment.
• Responsible, reliable and able to work independently after training.
• Willing and able to work overtime (OT) when required.
• Fresh graduates welcome to apply. Candidates with 1-2 years of relevant hands-on experience in plastic welding, fabrication or assembly will have an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Perform precision plastic welding, bonding and fabrication according to drawings and work instructions
• Prepare, align and assemble plastic components for welding
• Operate welding tools and equipment safely and correctly
• Follow specified welding methods, procedures and production requirements
• Perform basic visual and dimensional checks during production
• Perform leak testing on completed assemblies as required
• Report abnormalities or defects to the supervisor immediately or QC team
• Maintain tools, equipment and work areas in a clean and safe condition (5S Methodology)
• Follow production schedules, safety requirements and work instructions
• Work with team members to meet production targets and deadlines
