Job summary

Owens Corning Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking a Fabricator (TIG Welding) to assemble and fabricate alloy parts with TIG welding per spec, inspect outcomes, and enter data. Reading blueprints and planning operations are required.

You will set up and operate metalworking tools, perform bead-blasting and flame-spray processes, verify finished parts against prints, and work safely in a team at Tuas Loop. Starting salary is S$2,700 with monthly allowances, lunch provided, and company transport from MRT

Qualifications

• O’ or N’ Level with a Technical Cert.
• Good knowledge of working efficiency, manufacturing, quality, safety & environment.
• Strong math, able to read calipers and micrometers, understand tolerances.
• Basic MS Office skills (Word/Excel).
• Accurate inventory controls/transactions and teamwork.
• Safe, clean metal fabrication environment with good communication.

• Measure and inspect parts for conformance to specs.
• Set up and operate metal forming tools, drills, presses and welders.
• Assemble and perform bead-blasting and flame-spray as required.

• Handle computer transactions and update metric boards.

Job description

Fabricator (TIGWelding)

Assembly / Fabricate Alloy (metal) product with acceptable quality with TIG welding technical skills per specification, products inspection, Data entry, etc.

Responsibilities

• Receives metal parts and initiates transactions in computer of material movement.
• Studies blue print of part to be fabricated, computes dimensions, and plans sequence of operations.
• Measures and inspects kitted parts to determine specification conformance.
• Sets up and operates machine tools such as metal forming machines, drills, presses, pneumatic hand tools, and welders to meet part specifications.
• Assembles, refractory molding and perform tip welding to assemble parts together per print requirement.
• Perform bead-blasting and flame-spray processes on products
• Cleans and inspects finished products to ensure quality parts are produced.
• Verifies conformance of finished products to blueprint specifications.
• Computer transactions and metric board update / maintenance.

Requirement

• ‘O’ or ‘N’ Level, Technical Cert;
• Good knowledge of working efficiency, manufacturing, quality, safety & environment preferred;
• Must possess good math skills and the ability to use, read calipers and micrometers and understand measurement tolerances.
• Basic computer skills (MS Office) - Microsoft MS Words/ Excel
• Ability to accurately complete inventory controls/transactions
• Able to work in a safe, clean and metal fabrication environment
• Ability to work and contribute in a team environment
• Good communication skills, result oriented and proactive
• Physically Strong to manage products of weight around 10 to 20kg.

Starting Basic Salary = from S$2,700.00, Skills allowanceS$100/S$250 per month upon obtain job skills certification
