Job summary

VMD PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced welder for our Singapore workshop to support bespoke vehicle and related solutions for defence, public security and commercial projects.

You will read and interpret engineering drawings, perform TIG, ARC and MMA welding, and fabricate/install components in accordance with specifications. The role requires attention to detail, independence, and ability to work as part of a team in a busy production environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in welding and metal fabrication.
• Able to read and interpret drawings independently.
• Capable of calculating material requirements from drawings.
• Proficient in TIG welding and ARC/MMA welding.
• Willing to perform installation and workshop duties.

Responsibilities

• Carry out welding, fabrication, and installation works independently according to drawings and specifications.
• Maintain consistent welding quality and ensure finished products meet required standards.
• Willing to support other workshop and production-related duties as assigned by the company.

1. Possess relevant experience in welding and metal fabrication work.
2. Able to read and interpret engineering, fabrication, or mechanical drawings independently.
3. Able to calculate material requirements based on technical drawings.
4. Proficient in: TIG Welding (Argon Arc Welding)ARC/MMA Welding (Shielded Metal Arc Welding)
5. Able to carry out welding, fabrication, and installation works independently according to drawings and specifications.
6. Maintain consistent welding quality and ensure finished products meet required standards.
7. Willing to support other workshop and production-related duties as assigned by the company.
