Job summary

NDD Engineering & Construction PTE. LTD. is seeking a skilled welder to prepare, set up, and perform welding on structural steel components in our Singapore facility. You will read drawings, select appropriate processes, and produce welds that meet precise specifications.

You must be proficient in 3G–6G welding and hold a GTAW 6G qualification for stainless steel. The role requires strict adherence to safety SOPs and the ability to inspect and document weld quality.

Qualifications

• Experience performing welding on structural steel per drawings and specifications.
• Proficient in multiple welding processes including GTAW, SMAW, and GMAW.
• Knowledge of welding safety procedures and standard SOPs.
• Ability to read fabrication drawings and follow quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and set up welding tools, equipment, and steel materials for fabrication tasks
• Perform welding on steel structures, beams, columns, and metal plates according to drawings and specifications
• Maintain a safe and secure work environment by following standard welding procedures and company safety rules
• Report fabrication or alignment issues and assist in resolving them with supervisors and engineers
• Ensure high-quality welds that meet structural integrity and inspection standards
• Safely handle and maintain welding machines, gas cylinders, and cutting tools
• Keep the workplace tidy, organized, and free of hazards
• Perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor, including assisting in steel assembly and fitting works
• Inspect and maintain welding equipment regularly to ensure safe operation
• Document any safety incidents or hazards observed during operations.
• Gas cutting, PP welding, metal arc welding, and orbital welding
• Proficient in 3G, 4G, 5G & 6G welding techniques, especially for steel structure joints
• GTAW 6G – 2" Schedule 80 Stainless Steel (SS) welding qualification certificate is required.
• Ability to follow standard welding SOPs and structural fabrication drawings
