Job summary

NDD Engineering & Construction in Singapore is seeking a skilled welder to prepare and weld steel structures according to drawings and specifications. You will handle welding tools, operate machines, and ensure safety and quality on site.

The role requires adherence to SOPs, ability to read fabrication drawings, and readiness to work with gas cutting, PP welding, MMA, and orbital welding. On-site teamwork with engineers and supervisors is essential.

Qualifications

• GTAW 6G 2" Schedule 80 SS welding certificate required.
• Must follow welding SOPs and fabrication drawings.
• Experience with gas cutting, PP welding, MMA welding and orbital welding.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and set up welding tools, equipment, and steel materials per drawings.

Job description

• Prepare and set up welding tools, equipment, and steel materials for fabrication tasks
• Perform welding on steel structures, beams, columns, and metal plates according to drawings and specifications
• Maintain a safe and secure work environment by following standard welding procedures and company safety rules
• Report fabrication or alignment issues and assist in resolving them with supervisors and engineers
• Ensure high-quality welds that meet structural integrity and inspection standards
• Safely handle and maintain welding machines, gas cylinders, and cutting tools
• Keep the workplace tidy, organized, and free of hazards
• Perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor, including assisting in steel assembly and fitting works
• Inspect and maintain welding equipment regularly to ensure safe operation
• Document any safety incidents or hazards observed during operations.
• Gas cutting, PP welding, metal arc welding, and orbital welding
• Proficient in 3G, 4G, 5G & 6G welding techniques, especially for steel structure joints
• GTAW 6G – 2\" Schedule 80 Stainless Steel (SS) welding qualification certificate is required.
