Job summary

BASTILLE PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a Part-Time Pastry Assistant to support our pastry chef in preparing and producing high-quality French pastries.

This role covers 20–30 hours per week, mainly on weekends, at our Joo Chiat kitchen. You will help with croissants, tarts, éclairs, and other classics, learning our recipes and methods while maintaining hygiene and teamwork. No formal pastry experience required, but a genuine interest and willingness to learn are valued; weekend availability

Qualifications

• Experience in pastry or baking is welcome but not compulsory.
• Genuine interest in French pastry and willingness to learn.
• Comfortable working weekend shifts.
• Able to learn and adapt to different kitchen positions as needed.
• Ability to work effectively in a small team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Chef with the preparation and production of French pastries and baked goods.
• Support basic preparation of selected savoury items and ingredients as needed.
• Follow proper food handling and hygiene practices in accordance with NEA standards.
• Help ensure food items meet our standards for consistency and presentation.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the pastry workstation.
• Work efficiently as part of a small kitchen team.
