Job summary

Mycelium Catering in Singapore is seeking a Kitchen Cook for a Monday to Friday schedule from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. You will assist with daily food preparation, ensure quality and food safety, and work with the Head Chef to deliver meals for schools, corporate clients and events.

The role emphasizes teamwork, willingness to learn, and ability to thrive in a busy kitchen. WSQ Food Safety Level 1 is preferred and training may be provided to achieve certification.

Qualifications

• Secondary School education is preferred but not essential.
• A culinary qualification (WSQ, NITEC, Certificate in Culinary Skills or equivalent) is preferred but not essential.
• WSQ Food Safety Level 1 certification is required; certification assistance may be provided for suitability.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food following recipes and instructions from Head Chef.
• Assist with daily food preparation and meal production.
• Ensure food is prepared safely and presented to company standards.
• Keep the kitchen clean, organized and safe; operate kitchen equipment safely.
• Help minimize food wastage and report any safety concerns to supervisor.
