Job summary

ByteDance Singapore is seeking a motivated frontend internship candidate to join the Global Payment team. You will work on core web capabilities for payment solutions, including BNPL, wallet integrations, and consumer credit, across multiple markets.

You will collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to deliver reliable, accessible web experiences and explore AI-enabled development to boost engineering efficiency and product outcomes.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree or above, preferably in CS or related field.
• Solid CS fundamentals including data structures, algorithms, OS, and networks.
• Proficient in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3; familiar with React and frontend development under guidance.
• Strong problem-solving, self-motivation, and willingness to learn new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Participate in development of Global Payment web capabilities, including BNPL, insurance, and wallet features.
• Design and build reliable web checkout and front-ends for TikTok Pay wallet and financial products.
• Contribute to front-end architecture governance, performance optimization, and tooling enhancements.
• Explore AI-enabled frontend development, including code generation and workflow automation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on requirements, design, and delivery.
