Job summary

MCI Consulting Pte Ltd is seeking a hands-on Water Treatment Plant Operator in Singapore to supervise daily operations and maintenance of water and wastewater systems. You will monitor performance, water quality, chemical dosing, and operating parameters while guiding operators in inspections and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities include coordinating preventive maintenance, ensuring PTW compliance, maintaining records, and identifying improvements to enhance plant reliability and efficiency.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of relevant experience in water treatment, wastewater treatment, utilities, or process plant operations.
• Knowledge of pumps, valves, piping, chemical dosing systems, and basic instrumentation.
• Experience with systems such as wastewater treatment, RO, UF, filtration, ion exchange, or EDI will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the daily operation and maintenance of water and wastewater treatment systems.
• Monitor plant performance, water quality, chemical dosing, and operating parameters.
• Lead operators and technicians in routine plant inspections, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Troubleshoot pumps, valves, piping, filters, treatment equipment, and instrumentation.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance, repairs, and contractor activities.
• Ensure all work complies with safety procedures, environmental requirements, and Permit-to-Work (PTW) requirements.
• Maintain operating records, chemical inventory, maintenance reports, and plant documentation.
• Identify operational issues and recommend improvements to plant performance and reliability.
