Job summary

Merck Life Science in Tuas, Singapore, is seeking an ER/Logistics Team Leader to oversee warehouse operations and ensure SAP activities are performed accurately. You will support maintenance of ER equipment and coordinate with vendors and transport providers for timely shipments.

The role requires 3+ years of experience in logistics, knowledge of gases and chemicals, and a forklift/CERT qualification. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance and efficient delivery workflows.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Warehouse management or similar qualifications.
• Minimum 3 years of experience.
• Experience in Handling Gases and Chemicals.
• Working with Logistics service providers.
• ER Team Leader.
• Microsoft office and SAP User experience.
• Ability to communicate through emails, read and understand Job procedures.
• Provide reports on Excel.
• Issue Cold work permits.
• Certifications in Forklift license and CERT training.

Responsibilities

• Participate in Monthly BSP meetings and provide documentation and support to BSP Lead.
• Ensure SAP system activities are completed and maintain clean desk policy.
• Be a member of CERT team and participate in ER trainings and drills.
• Support maintenance of all ER equipment.
• Perform 3rd party warehouse operations including JIT/FFF for MEGC, and TCS at Tuas Warehouse.
• Coordinate with vendors for quotes for Purchaser decisions.
• Coordinate with Transport vendors for cross-border trucking Singapore–Malaysia.

What You Do

• Participate in the Monthly BSP meetings, provide all necessary documentation and full support to the BSP Lead. Ensure all BSP activities are completed. Full Compliance to Company’s safety policy and procedures
• SAP User and ensure all system activities are completed and maintain clean desk policy.
• Member of CERT team and participate in all ER trainings and drills.
• Support Maintenance of all ER equipment
• Responsible to Perform all 3rd party warehouse operations including JIT / FFF of all MEGC, and TCS. Perform JIT / FFF Operations at Tuas Warehouse
• Participate and support team in MEGC manifold repair activities.
• Complete all the required Online trainings on time.
• Perform Chemical / Gas Order processing as directed by Supervisor.
• Read and Understand the JIT work procedures.
• Read the site Risk Assessments for the various job activities.
• Monitor and audit vendors when they are performing work on site.
• Support the site Maintenance of equipment and tools and conduct Daily inspection of all equipment to ensure they are working well.
• Work with Commercial, Customer service and Customer to ensure all warehouse and Delivery requirement are met.
• Work with Vendors to provide Quotes for various jobs for Purchaser to make decision.
• Co-ordinate with Transport vendors for cross border trucking from Singapore to Malaysia and vice versa
• Support the Quality Audit activities at Tuas site and 3rd party warehouse.
• Process Malaysia & Singapore Service provider invoices for Payment on time.
• Support Cycle count activities at Tuas site and 3rd Party warehouse.
• Manage the site contractors who are providing Container stuffing services and ensure they comply to our Site Work Procedures
• Follow up closely on empty return GR for MEGC, CYLINDER, DRUM & PALLET PACK and arrange empty return to supplier on time for PTC & TUAS Warehouse & AIG
• Keep record for all import and export shipping document.
• Back up for Escort of MEGC Tube trailer from Port or customer when required.
• Manage the Tuas contract drivers, conduct driver safety meetings, conduct JSA.
• Perform Receiving of Import containers in SAP and arrange Export bookings for Empty return and all related works.
• Receiving Empty cylinder back from customer into SAP
• Tuas to Kulim export shipment processing shipping document, cylinder picking & arrange transport.
• Provide shipment number for billing propose on monthly basis.
