Job summary

Naval Group Far East Pte Ltd in Singapore seeks a Warehouse Operator to join the Procurement and Supply Chain team. You will receive, inspect, and verify shipments, update ERP records, and prepare shipments with proper labelling.

You will operate reach trucks, perform stock counts, and ensure timely delivery while maintaining safety and accuracy. Training on equipment will be provided; you should hold a valid driving license and be able to lift heavy objects.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse operations and shipping/receiving.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and stock control.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments in ERP.
• Update and maintain accurate inventory records in ERP.
• Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
• Pick and pack orders and prepare shipments with proper labeling.
• Ensure timely delivery and accurate order fulfilment.
• Safely operate reach trucks and pallet jacks; report issues.
• Record stock movements and maintain warehouse organization.
• Follow 5S housekeeping and company procedures.

As an industrial contractor, designer, and overall integrator of whole warships and combat systems, it also offers a full range of services to naval bases and shipyards. The wholly-owned subsidiary, Naval Group Far East has established in Singapore since2005 and plays a crucial role in supporting the activities of the Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN).

Within the Procurement and Supply Chain Department, you will play a key role in supporting the following activities:

Description of your mission

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments; perform GRPO transactions in ERP.


• Update and maintain accurate inventory records in ERP.


• Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.


• Pick and pack orders according to standards; prepare shipments with proper labelling and documentation.


• Ensure efficient processing and timely delivery of goods to meet customer requirements.


• Use a company vehicle for order collection and delivery; maintain a clean and organised vehicle.


• Ensure timely and accurate delivery, following company policies and procedures.


• Safely operate reach trucks, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment; perform routine maintenance and report issues.


• Maintain and service warehouse vehicles and equipment as needed.


• Prepare and maintain shipping and receiving documentation.


• Record stock movements and ensure inventory accuracy in ERP.


• Organize and store inventory; ensure proper labelling and storage for easy access.


• Follow 5S housekeeping standards and maintain warehouse security.


• Address and resolve issues related to orders, collections, or deliveries promptly.


• Communicate effectively with team members, customers, and suppliers.


• Adhere to Naval Group Far East’s procedures and requirements.


• Sustain corrective actions to eliminate repeat issues and address operational needs.

Requirements:

• Experience as a Warehouse Operator or in a similar role.


• Valid driving license and ability to operate a company vehicle.


• Proficiency with SAPB1 or any other ERP systems.


• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.


• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as part of the warehouse operations.


• Analysis, problem solving and reporting


• Training in operating a reach truck will be provided


• Proficient in Microsoft Office and ability to communicate well in email.


• Committed and able to work independently with minimal supervision
