Job summary

Bata Shoe (Singapore) Private Limited is hiring a Warehouse Associate for packing and stock replenishment duties at Boon Lay Way, Singapore. The role involves packing shoes into cartons, sorting by shop and size, marking cartons, and ensuring all quantities reconcile with invoices.

You will also move cartons with a pallet-jack and keep the area clean and organized. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 6:45am to 4:30pm, with duties including receiving, storing, and picking.

Qualifications

• Familiar with warehouse operations such as receiving, storing and picking.
• Heavy lifting/manual labor required.
• Forklift license is a plus.
• Basic Microsoft Office knowledge (Word/Excel) is advantageous.
• Able to start immediately or within 1 month.

Responsibilities

• Packing shoes picked by pickers into carton boxes.
• Segregating by shops, category articles and quantity.
• Marking outside of cartons to show shop, category and quantity.
• Ensure total quantity packed matches invoice.
• Inform Supervisor about discrepancies.
• Move cartons using pallet-jack to delivery zones.
• Keep packing materials stocked for the next day.
• Maintain workstation housekeeping at all times.

Packing

• Packing shoes that were picked by the pickers into carton boxes
• Segregating by shops, category articles and quantity
• Marking the outside of the carton boxes using chalks to determine shop, category and quantity
• Ensure total quantity picked and packed tally with invoice
• Inform Supervisor in the event of any discrepancies
• Move cartons using pallet and pallet-jack (MHE) to delivery Zone A, B, C, D accordingly
• Ensure packing materials (i.e. empty cartons, packing tape, permanent markers, chalks) are sufficient for the next day
• Ensure house-keeping of work-station is observed at all times

Stock Replenishment

• Locate empty space to arrange new stocks into the racks for ease of picking
• Stacking of shoes by size and articles that were received by the receiving team
• Pasting of “buffer” paper indicating size and quantity for the balance stocks
• Inform Supervisor upon the completion of above so that he/she can use the forklift to place the “buffer”
• Any other warehouse jobs as assigned by your Warehouse Manager

Requirements

• Familiar with warehouse operations e.g. receiving, storing and picking
• Heavy lifting/manual labor required
• Preferably possess a forklift license (Not a must, good to have)
• Knowledge of basic Microsoft Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) is an advantage
• Able to start work immediately or within 1 month
• Work location - Boon Lay Way (Monday to Friday, 6.45am to 4.30pm)
