Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse or distribution centre is preferred.
• Physically fit and able to perform lifting and standing for extended periods.
• Reliable with a strong work ethic and ability to meet deadlines.
• Good communication and ability to follow instructions.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with warehouse software is advantageous.
• A valid driving licence and forklift certification (or willingness to obtain) is beneficial.
• Flexible to work shifts including early mornings or evenings.

Responsibilities

• Receive, check and verify goods against deliveries and records.
• Organise and store products in designated locations following safety guidelines.
• Pick, pack and prepare orders for shipment according to customer requirements.

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Warehouse Assistant to join the E-CONTRACT PTE. LTD. team in Jurong West. This is a full-time position based on-site in the West Region, offering an excellent opportunity to develop your career within the warehousing, storage and distribution sector. As a Warehouse Assistant, you will play a vital role in maintaining the smooth and efficient operation of our warehouse facilities. You will be responsible for supporting the daily logistics operations, ensuring that products are stored, organised and dispatched accurately and safely. This position is fundamental to our ability to deliver excellent service to our clients and contributes directly to the success of our supply chain operations.

What you'll be doing

• Receiving, checking and verifying incoming goods against delivery documentation and warehouse records
• Organising and storing products in designated warehouse locations, adhering to safety protocols and storage guidelines
• Picking, packing and preparing orders for shipment in accordance with customer requirements
• Scanning and recording inventory movements using warehouse management systems and equipment
• Maintaining accurate stock records and assisting with regular inventory counts and audits
• Operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely and responsibly (where applicable and with appropriate certification)
• Loading and unloading vehicles in a safe and efficient manner
• Keeping the warehouse clean, organised and free from hazards to ensure a safe working environment
• Assisting with general housekeeping duties and maintaining compliance with health and safety standards
• Supporting the warehouse team with ad hoc tasks and projects as required

What we're looking for

• Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution centre or similar logistics environment is highly desirable
• Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour, including lifting, carrying and standing for extended periods
• Reliability and a strong work ethic with a commitment to meeting deadlines and targets
• Ability to work accurately and pay attention to detail, particularly when handling product information and inventory data
• Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions from supervisors and team members
• Basic computer literacy and experience with inventory management systems or warehouse software is advantageous
• A valid driving licence and experience with forklift operation or willingness to obtain certification is beneficial
• Flexibility to work shifts, including early mornings or evenings, as required by operational needs
• Commitment to health and safety practices and a proactive approach to maintaining a safe workplace
• Team player mentality with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and support management
