Job summary

SUMITOMO MITSUI BANKING CORPORATION Singapore Branch is seeking a senior Product Manager to lead product design, delivery, and continuous improvement across APAC, Japan and global markets. You will design customer journeys, manage backlogs, and coordinate with IT and regional teams to drive strategy, governance, and operational excellence.

The role requires strong English and Japanese communication, extensive banking domain experience, and hands-on agile leadership to deliver value-driven

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 7-10 years of experience in banking industries, at least 4-5 years in TB domain.
• Business fluency in English and Japanese essential; ability to write and communicate with Tokyo office.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; collaborative mindset.
• Proven ability to prioritize, lead across teams and geographies, and operate independently.
• Experience with product management tools such as Jira, Trello, or Azure DevOps.

Responsibilities

• Define product requirements in terms of capabilities & maturity across APAC, Japan and global based on business value and strategy.
• Design end-to-end customer journeys and front-to-back processes for seamless client experience.
• Develop testing strategies (UAT, scenarios, migration) and partner with IT and delivery teams.
• Lead agile ceremonies, manage sprint priorities, and ensure deliverables meet quality and business outcomes.
• Analyze market trends and client behavior to drive continuous improvements and efficiency.
• Own and prioritize backlogs (Product, BAU, Defects) and refine user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
• Act as interface between business, clients, and technology teams.
• Oversee Run the Bank activities including maintenance, commercialization, and regulatory compliance.
