Avomind is seeking a VP of Research (Machine Learning) to define and lead the research direction behind its AI platform, shaping reasoning, learning, evaluation, and continuous improvement for high-frequency, real-world use.

You will collaborate with product and engineering leaders to balance cutting-edge research with production impact, driving long-term intelligence strategy and practical outcomes across the organization.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience designing, building, and deploying ML systems in production.
• Proven ability to translate research into production-ready AI solutions.
• Strong ownership mindset and ability to lead technical strategy.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve the research roadmap for AI intelligence and real-time usage.
• Evaluate proprietary vs open-source or commercial models for production use.
• Design evaluation frameworks for real-world performance, safety, and robustness.
• Lead AI alignment, safety, and guardrail strategy as part of product development.
• Drive research across approaches like RAG, MoE, distillation, and multi-agent orchestration.
• Partner with product/engineering to implement intelligence strategy for apps.
• Set high standards for research quality and engineering excellence.
