Job summary

GIC seeks a VP, Network Services & Automation Engineer to own core network services and automation platforms. You will ensure high availability, security, and observability across data centre, WAN, campus, and cloud while guiding engineering standards and a culture of reliability.

You will drive NetBox/Ansible pipelines, enforce configuration compliance, and mentor engineers within the Technology Group. The role blends leadership, hands-on delivery, and vendor evaluation in a hybrid Singapore

Qualifications

• 8+ years in network engineering, with 3+ years owning DDI or automation platforms.
• Strong enterprise networking across routing, switching and security in multi-vendor estates.
• Hands-on DNS/DHCP/IPAM at scale (Infoblox/BlueCat/EfficientIP/BIND) and TACACS+/RADIUS (ISE).
• Strong automation skills in Ansible, Python, Git and CI/CD with a network source of truth.
• Experience designing monitoring/observability for multi-vendor networks using SNMP, gNMI, NetFlow.
• A product mindset: treat internal engineers as customers and measure reliability.

Responsibilities

• Own DDI services including architecture, resilience, DNS security controls and lifecycle.
• Own network device AAA services (TACACS+/RADIUS) and PAM integration.
• Engineer the network management plane with out-of-band access, NTP, syslog and telemetry.
• Design and run the network observability stack across data centre, WAN, campus and cloud.
• Build/run the network automation platform (NetBox, Ansible, Git, CI/CD).
• Deliver configuration compliance and drift detection; automate audit evidence.
• Set engineering standards for network code and coach engineers.
• Evaluate tooling vendors; manage platform capacity and lifecycle; lead incidents.
• Hand over changes to Network Operations with validated runbooks and data.
