Job Description
- Manage day‑to‑day issues including daily health checks of applications and processes, working closely with end users, development staff and infrastructure teams to prioritize and resolve or mitigate outages.
- Handle production support by issuing initial responses, gathering data, tracking, and resolving issues while determining escalation protocols.
- Investigate production issues and provide user workarounds, sharing Level‑2 analysis with Level‑3 teams for further investigation.
- Support automated application health checks, housekeeping, file status checks and inter‑application checks.
- Respond to users promptly for reported production issues and clarifications.
- Monitor production activities/processes to ensure timely and effective reporting, tracking, follow‑up and communication of problems to internal and external stakeholders.
- Implement continuous process improvement, including policies, procedures and production monitoring.
- Help identify, coordinate and implement initiatives/projects to create efficiencies and optimize technical processing.
- Develop and maintain relationships with technical staff, end users and clients.
- Evaluate alternative risks and solutions before taking action for timely resolution.
- Perform disaster recovery exercises for multiple applications across all countries each year.
- Assist in bringing up all applicable services after system maintenance, OS patching or database patching activities.
- Ensure end‑of‑day batch processes complete successfully for multiple applications across the country daily.
- Generate on‑demand reports as requested by users or auditors.
Job Requirements
- Minimum 8–10 years of hands‑on experience in Java, J2EE, JMS, Web services, Microservices, Oracle, UNIX, IBM MQ Series, CTRL‑M and Splunk.
- Strong middleware product knowledge and hands‑on experience supporting critical customer online payment integration and messaging systems.
- Experience writing scripts, database queries, generating capacity and performance reports.
- Experience with change management, problem management, and capacity/performance management.
- Solid understanding of resiliency and redundancy designs.
