Job summary

HSBC BANK (SINGAPORE) LIMITED is seeking a VP, International Desk Manager to drive cross-border referrals and multi-corridor growth for international wealth and premier banking clients from Singapore. You will collaborate with corridor partners, market heads, and business development teams to build a sustainable acquisition pipeline and deliver growth across markets.

• Efficient time management and project management; ability to handle multiple tasks under pressure
• Drive NTB (New to Bank) acquisition across sources and develop new channels/alliances

Responsibilities

• Work with corridor partners to maximize inbound referral business across International Banking Centre, Digital remote journeys, and Business Development Managers
• Enable cross-functional referrals from Singapore to corridor markets to fulfill multi-corridor needs for new-to-bank and new-to-group customers
• Improve fund flow between corridor partners and HSBC Singapore and other markets; increase capture rate in both directions
• Acquire Lead Generators in Singapore and develop cross-border LG opportunities; pursue partnerships when approvals are absent
• Work with Market Heads to drive RM referrals, self-sourcing, and build a sustainable acquisition pipeline
• Collaborate with Propositions on events in Singapore and overseas to create acquisition opportunities; develop communications material
• Run initiatives supporting SG plans to become an international wealth hub
• Design rapid solutions for growth by resolving channel challenges and addressing complaints to recover service

VP, International Desk Manager.

In this role you will:

• Responsible for working with corridor partners to maximize inbound referral business through the International Banking Centre, Digital remote journeys, and Business Development Managers. For North Asia, this would include China, Taiwan and Hong Kong amongst others
• Enable cross functional business referrals from Singapore to key corridor markets to fulfill multi-corridor needs for New to bank and New to Group customers
• Work towards improving the fund flow from corridor partners to HSBC Singapore and from HSBC Singapore to other markets. Look at increasing the capture rate in both directions
• Acquire Lead Generators (LG) in Singapore and look at building upon the cross-border LG opportunities in the markets that are enabled. In the absence of LG approvals, look at partnerships that can be developed
• Working with Market Heads of their respective corridors to work towards RM referrals and self sourcing and build a sustainable pipeline for acquisition
• Work with Propositions on events that can be done in Singapore and overseas to build acquisition opportunities. To look at communication material that could be developed
• Run collaborative initiatives in support of SG plans to become an international wealth hub.
• Design and enable rapid solutions for growth in response to market changes by resolving channel challenges and investigating their complaints or feedbacks with a view to recover service

To be successful you will need:

• Strong knowledge of the retail banking landscape, and a good understanding of business functions in the context of offshore and international banking
• Experience in acquisition or business development strategy, prior experience and deep knowledge of working with corridors is preferredClear and effective communication skills, particularly in non-face to face engagement
• Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills, with sensitivity towards various cultural backgrounds
• Efficient time management and project management skills, and ability to manage a diverse range of tasks under pressure
• Drive New to Bank acquisition across various sources and continuously develop new acquisition channels and alliances
