Job summary

United Overseas Bank Limited (UOB) seeks a senior Business Analyst to drive AI-enabled Trade Finance initiatives. You will lead workshops, analyze processes, and collaborate with sponsors, PMs, data scientists and technology partners to deliver end-to-end solutions.

You will validate AI readiness, create BRDs, data dictionaries and user stories, and mentor junior analysts while coordinating cross-functional teams for timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Banking domain knowledge especially Trade Finance products and operations.
• Strong quantitative, analytical and problem solving skills.
• Attention to detail and end-to-end solution focus.
• Experience with AI implementation and process change preferred.
• Understanding of cross-functional technology and operations.
• Excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills.
• Experience in scoping and evaluating projects including risk considerations.
• Minimum 8–10 years of Trade Finance banking experience.
• Trade Finance operations or product experience mandatory.

Job Responsibilities

Weseek a dynamic and experienced Business Analyst to drive the Trade FinanceProgram to ensure seamless integration of core Trade capabilities and AIsolutions, process optimization.

KeyResponsibilities

• Lead and facilitate workshops and cross-functional meetings to gather business requirements and define solution approaches.
• Analyze current business processes to identify AI integration opportunities.
• Collaborate with business sponsors, product managers, data scientist, technology partners to realize business needs into actual solution.
• Conduct data analysis to support decision-making and validate AI model readiness.
• Familiar with Associative data modeling, predictive & text analytics, classification, data exploration, summarization.
• Work with relevant stakeholders to develop use case benefits explanation, business requirement documents (BRDs), process maps, data dictionaries, client journey, user stories..etc
• Mentor and manage junior analysts, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
• Have proven track record of Enterprise Wide / Trade Systems Implementation
• Have relevant experience with Trade Finance Products or Operations
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and timely delivery.

• Prepare and present status updates, dashboards, and executive summaries to stakeholders.

JobRequirements:

• Strong business domain knowledge in banking especially Trade Finance products and operations processes.
• Strong quantitative, analytical, problem solving and process design skills that can translate analysis into solutions that meet business objectives
• Paying attention to details and able to provide end to end solution to Business requirements.
• Change mindset, prior experience of Process Change / AI implementation is preferred.
• Understanding of technology and operational processes across functions / departments in the bank/market.
• Resourceful team player
• Familiar with change management processes and project management fundamentals
• Outstanding communications, influencing, negotiating and persuasion skills
• Passionate, diligent and resilient individual with ability to thrive in ambiguity
• Experience in scoping and evaluation – Defining overall considerations, including scalability, maintainability, cost, operations and technology principal risk to provide a recommendation
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering/ business/ finance or equivalent
• Minimum 8 to10 years of Trade Finance banking experience
• Trade Finance prior experience (Operations or Product) is mandatory
