Goldman Sachs’ Global Banking & Markets, Synthetics Products Group invites a Vice President, Full Stack Software Engineer to design and build scalable systems for risk hedging, trade execution, and post‑trade processing. You will work across a front‑office aligned team, partnering with traders, quants, and operations to deliver robust software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Quantitative Research or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of professional experience in full-stack software development.
• Hands-on experience with Java.
• Hands-on experience with agentic AI, skills development, prompt optimization.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming concepts.
• Solid understanding of data structures and algorithms as well as systems design.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team and independently.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain high-performance, high-availability platforms for risk hedging, trade execution, and workflow management.
• Design and build solutions to scale infrastructure to support growth and new products.
• Apply AI as a force multiplier to technical and business deliverables; contribute to SPG AI toolkit.
• Collect data and metrics from existing systems to guide decision making and BI; develop/ enhance tools.
• Communicate with traders, sales, strategists, operations, and compliance to gather requirements and deliver features.
