Job summary

HSBC is seeking a high-calibre professional for the Vice President, Financial Crime Advisory IWPB role in Singapore. You will partner with business and compliance teams to implement new regulations, provide policy advice on products and initiatives, and monitor financial crime developments affecting Singapore operations.

The role requires extensive FCC experience across AML/CFT, sanctions and AB&C, with strong regulatory reporting capabilities and a proactive mindset to mitigate risk.

Qualifications

  • Degree-qualified with extensive FCC experience across AML/CFT, sanctions, fraud and ABC.
  • Strong knowledge of MAS AML/CFT Notices and related guidance; private banking and corporate trust experience is a plus.
  • Ability to investigate incidents, assess regulatory impact and produce high-quality regulatory reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Retail Business, Local/Regional Compliance and Risk teams to drive implementation of new regulations.
  • Provide regulatory and policy advice on WPB products and services to support compliant delivery.
  • Identify Financial Crime Risk changes and assess potential impacts on SGH business models.
  • Advise Retail on initiatives to manage and mitigate financial crime risks.
  • Support Head of AML/Head of Financial Crime IWPB, SGH in monitoring and reviewing a framework for updates.
  • Drive regional and local regulatory change implementation plans with quantified impacts.
  • Assist in implementing AML/CTF, proliferation financing, ABC, sanctions and tax transparency policies and systems.
