Job summary

United Overseas Bank Ltd (UOB) is hiring a Vice President of Data Analytics in Group Wholesale Banking. The role focuses on building and evolving enterprise-scale data platforms, partnering with Technology, Analytics and Governance teams in a hybrid setup in Singapore.

You will lead data engineering initiatives, ensure regulatory compliance, and mentor the analytics team to deliver governed self-service analytics for multiple products across markets.

Qualifications

8-12+ years in data engineering, data platform or analytics engineering in banking or regulated environments.
Experience in enterprise-scale data platform or datamart implementations through requirements to production.
Strong knowledge of SQL, data modelling, ETL/ELT and performance optimisation.

Responsibilities

Participate in end-to-end build and evolution of enterprise-scale GWB data platforms with Technology and delivery partners.
Collaborate with Data Analysts/Scientists, Business stakeholders, Technology and Governance teams to enable governed analytics.
Ensure data pipelines meet data access controls, country restrictions and regulatory requirements; support audits and model validation.
Mentor and raise engineering standards within the team; review designs and delivery approaches for platform thinking.
