Job summary

Japan Research Institute (JRI) Limited, a SMBC Group subsidiary, is seeking a senior System Analyst to lead mid-to-large scale payments projects in Asia Pacific. The role requires deep experience in financial services IT, strong leadership, and ability to govern the full SDLC from design to release.

You will collaborate with business analysts, solution architects and cross-functional teams to design, implement and test integrated remittance systems across regional platforms.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of senior-level System Analyst experience in financial services.
• Strong domain expertise in corporate banking, cross-border payments, and payment system integrations.
• Proven experience managing full SDLC including design, source code governance, testing coverage, and release cycles.

Responsibilities

• Plan for design solutioning, testing and implementation activities with timelines and effort estimates with Delivery Manager.
• Discuss and work with business analyst to understand, analyse, validate user/business/system requirements.
• Drive technical/system requirements from abstract product vision to detailed system/technical requirements with solution architect.
• Perform functional impact analysis and risk assessment with technical leads.
• Design functional solutions and define I/F specifications and layout.
• Support testing activities with Test Manager, Test Lead and SMEs to ensure coverage.
• Prepare migration design and data mapping with cross-domain alignment.
• Provide user training and support to ensure effective system usage.
