Job summary

DBS is seeking an experienced Blockchain Engineer to design, develop, and deliver next-generation digital asset and blockchain solutions across tokenized deposits, digital payments, custody, and tokenized assets. You will lead end-to-end delivery, develop secure contracts, and integrate blockchain networks with core banking and trading platforms.

The role requires 8+ years in software engineering with 3+ years in blockchain, strong programming skills (Java, Go, Rust, C++), and practical Solidity

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related discipline.
• 8+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 3 years focused on blockchain, distributed ledger, or digital asset platforms.
• Strong proficiency in Java, Go Lang, Rust, or C++.
• Hands-on experience developing smart contracts using Solidity and deploying on Ethereum or EVM-compatible networks.
• Strong understanding of blockchain architecture, consensus mechanisms, tokenization models, wallet infrastructure, and digital asset custody solutions.
• Experience integrating blockchain systems with enterprise apps, APIs, messaging, and cloud-native architectures.
• Knowledge of token standards such as ERC-20, ERC-721, ERC-1155, and emerging tokenization frameworks.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Job Role We are seeking an experienced Blockchain Engineer to design, develop, and deliver next-generation digital asset and blockchain solutions across tokenized deposits, digital payments, custody, and tokenized real-world assets (RWA). The successful candidate will play a key role in building secure, scalable, and regulatory-compliant digital asset platforms while collaborating with business, product, architecture, and engineering teams across the Bank.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain blockchain-based applications, smart contracts, and digital asset platforms supporting tokenized deposits, digital payments, custody, and tokenized asset initiatives.
• Lead end-to-end technical delivery of digital asset solutions, from solution design and development through testing, deployment, and production support.
• Develop secure smart contracts for tokenization on Ethereum and EVM-compatible Layer 1 and Layer 2 networks, including Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum, or other blockchain ecosystems.
• Build and enhance middleware, APIs, and integration services connecting blockchain networks with core banking, payments, custody, and trading platforms.
• Adopt software engineering best practices, including secure coding standards, automated testing, CI/CD, monitoring, and resiliency controls.
• Conduct code reviews, technical design reviews, and provide mentorship to junior engineers within the team.
• Support technical evaluation, proof-of-concepts, and adoption of emerging blockchain technologies, tokenization frameworks, and digital asset innovations.

Required Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience delivering institutional digital asset solutions such as tokenized deposits, stablecoins, custody platforms, tokenized funds, digital exchanges, or on-chain payment systems.
• Knowledge of financial markets, transaction banking, payments, securities services, or capital markets infrastructure.
• Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, or GCP and modern container technologies including Kubernetes and Docker.
• Experience working in a regulated financial institution or fintech organization focused on digital assets.
