Job summary

NTU Singapore invites applications for a Visiting Associate Professor in Nanophotonics. The appointee will join the Division of Physics and Applied Physics to advance research in nanophotonics and metamaterials. A PhD and extensive experience in cutting-edge nanophotonics are essential.

The candidate will collaborate on quantum and topological photonic metasurfaces, nanoimaging, and external grant projects, with ongoing engagement across NTU schools and international collaborations.

Qualifications

• PhD in physics, photonics, optoelectronics or closely related area.
• More than 10 years of cutting-edge research in nanophotonics materials and devices.
• Expert in nanofabrication and nano-optics characterization techniques.
• Proven ability to secure external grants and publish in top-tier journals such as Nature and Science.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with PAP colleagues on nanophotonics metamaterials, metasurfaces, time-crystal photonics and nanoimaging.
• Pursue external grants and collaborate with NTU Schools to strengthen institutional links.
• Publish in high-impact journals and contribute to strategic initiatives within NTU.
