Assistant Professor (Tenure Track) in Photonics

This hiring aims to strengthen the division’s research activity in Photonics, Nanophotonics, Quantum Photonics or related areas. The candidate will be a future leader in these disciplines, fostering interaction between physicists, materials scientists, and engineers at NTU through the development of ambitious research programs.

  • Contribute to teaching and course development at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
  • Provide academic supervision of undergraduate and graduate students.
  • Undertake administrative and/or leadership roles.
  • Contribute to other service‑related activities assigned by the School and University.
Requirements
  • PhD in physics, materials science, or a related discipline.
  • Strong record of research and relevant publications in reputable peer‑reviewed international journals.
  • Good track record of securing research grants.
  • Good track record of supervising students, and interns in relevant fields.
  • Experience in cross‑disciplinary research initiatives and collaboration.
