Job summary

Cultivar Asia Pte Ltd invites applications for a Vice Principal (Early Childhood) to join our preschool leadership team. This role blends hands-on teaching with leadership duties, supporting daily operations while delivering quality EC education to young children.

The ideal candidate holds an ECE qualification, ECDA leadership certification or is pursuing one, and has proven experience in early childhood settings.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Early Childhood Care & Education or related field.
• ECDA-recognised Leadership Certification preferred or currently pursuing an approved leadership programme.
• Proven experience teaching in an early childhood education setting, preferably with upper-level preschool children.
• Excellent command of English and Chinese for communications with parents.

Responsibilities

• Teach English to an upper-level preschool class aligned with the ECDA curriculum framework.
• Foster language, literacy, and developmental progress through effective classroom teaching.
• Monitor children's learning outcomes and maintain a safe, nurturing environment.
• Support the Senior Principal in overseeing daily operations and admin functions.
• Prepare staff rosters and assist with manpower planning.
• Manage petty cash, inventory, and procurement of school supplies.
• Assist with parent billing, fee collection, and other administrative duties.
• Conduct school tours and engage with prospective parents as required.
• Build positive relationships with parents addressing inquiries and feedback.
• Ensure ECDA compliance and maintain accurate school documentation.
• Support curriculum planning, implementation, and improvement initiatives.
• Coach and mentor teaching staff for professional development.

• Proven experience teaching in an early childhood education setting, preferably with upper-level preschool children.
• Experience teaching English language and literacy to young children.
• Strong understanding of ECDA curriculum frameworks and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese to communicate with Chinese speaking parents.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Passionate about early childhood education with a strong commitment to both teaching and school leadership.
