Job summary

Hope Veterinary Care invites a dedicated Veterinary Nurse/Technician to join a close-knit team focused on Fear Free care. You will assist veterinarians during exams and surgeries, administer medications, and perform essential nursing duties while educating clients on preventive care.

We welcome entry-level applicants with training as well, offering supportive mentorship and ongoing development in a Cat Friendly clinic setting.

Qualifications

• Formal veterinary nursing or veterinary technician qualification preferred.
• Entry level may apply with training provided.
• Strong animal handling and restraint skills.
• Proficiency in venipuncture, catheter placement, and medication administration.
• Excellent communication and client service skills.
• Attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure.
• Genuine passion for animal welfare and providing high-quality care.

Responsibilities

• Assisting veterinarians during examinations, procedures, and surgeries
• Administering medications, vaccines, and other treatments as directed
• Performing laboratory tests and analysing results
• Monitoring patients and providing nursing care, including wound management and bandaging
• Educating clients on pet care, nutrition, and preventative health

About the role

As a Veterinary Nurse / Technician at Hope Veterinary Care, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional animal care to our clients

• Get to know the quirks & cuddles of our patients, and provide personalized treatments.
• From checkups to advanced surgeries, be the hero pets deserve.
• Share your knowledge with clients, making them feel like pet pros.

• Organise referral when we’ve done all we could!
