Job summary

The Cat Vet in Singapore is seeking an experienced Vet Tech to support veterinarians, manage the reception, run lab tests, and maintain a calm, cat-friendly clinic for feline patients.

You will assist during consultations and surgeries, monitor anaesthesia for patient safety, perform in-house tests and imaging, and help with billing and stock while ensuring comfort for cats and a smooth clinic operation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1+ years of experience as a vet tech, vet nurse, or veterinary assistant.

Responsibilities

• Manage the reception desk, bookings, and respond to phone and email queries to provide a welcoming first point of contact for clients.
• Support veterinarians during consultations, treatments, and surgeries, including monitoring anaesthesia to ensure patient safety.
• Perform in-house laboratory tests and assist with diagnostic imaging to aid in accurate diagnosis and treatment.
• Prepare feline patients for procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout.
• Handle clinic administrative tasks including billing and stock management to maintain smooth clinic operations.
• Maintain a clean, calm, and cat-friendly clinic environment to reduce stress for patients and clients.
• Build warm, lasting relationships with clients and their cats to foster trust and ongoing care.

Required competencies and certifications

• Strong English communication skills, organizational ability, and reliability as a team player
• Genuine compassion for cats and willingness to care for sick animals, including cleaning duties
• Flexibility to work weekends as part of a roster, with 4 or 5 working days per week
