Responsibilities
Performance Monitoring & Optimization

  • Provide insights on hull/propeller/machinery performance to optimize cleaning, dry-dock, and maintenance schedules.
  • Align deployment strategies with performance data in partnership with chartering/operations; support commercial teams on cost–efficiency trade-offs.
  • Benchmark performance against peer fleet and industry standards; handle speed & consumption claims for T/C tonnage.
  • Negotiate hull/propeller inspection & cleaning contracts and arrange services with Operations.
Data & Reporting
  • Own daily/weekly/monthly reports from Coach; validate inputs and exclude inaccurate data.
  • Track and communicate KPIs for fuel efficiency and carbon intensity (CII, EEXI).
  • Build dashboards/visualizations for management (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Maintain monthly speed & consumption data in IMOS for all vessels.
Stakeholder Management
  • Act as primary point of contact for vessels, technical managers, operations, and internal technical teams.
  • Lead external review meetings with Coach and internal stakeholders to highlight changes and optimization opportunities.
  • Train ship and shore staff on platform usage and efficiency best practices; liaise with class, vendors, and digital providers for continuous improvement.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or related discipline.
  • Seagoing experience as Chief/2nd Engineer preferred; or strong shore-based fleet performance/technical background wil be advantageous
  • ≥5 years in ship performance monitoring, technical operations, or energy efficiency.
  • Hands-on with fleet performance tools; strong analytics and large-dataset interpretation.
