Job summary

Innergy Consulting Pte. is seeking a Vessel Accounting Executive to support the Vessel Accounting Manager in preparing, analyzing, and reporting vessel accounting data. You will ensure monthly vessel accounts are accurate, perform reconciliations and journal entries, and assist with financial reporting.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, teamwork, and ability to meet tight deadlines. Exposure to ABS NS and Dynamics 365 BC is an advantage.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in accounting or professional accounting qualifications.
• Experience in vessel accounting or ship management is advantageous.
• Strong accounting knowledge with high accuracy and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Excel and Word; ability to work in a team and meet deadlines.
• Experience with ABS NS or Dynamics 365 BC is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the full spectrum of vessel accounting functions.
• Perform daily accounting activities including data entry and journal vouchers.
• Prepare reconciliations for GL and AP; support vessel manager with reports.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts for assigned vessels and key accounts.

Job description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Vessel Accounting Executive for our client. This position will play a key role in supporting the Vessel Accounting Manager in the preparation, analysis, and reporting of vessel accounting data. He/she will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of monthly vessel accounts, including reconciliations and journal entries.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the full spectrum of vessel accounting functions.
• Perform daily accounting activities, including data entry into accounting systems, preparation of journal vouchers, and compilation of supporting documentation related to General Ledger (GL) and Accounts Payable (AP).
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts for assigned vessels, including master cash, bond store, accruals, and other key accounts.
• Support the Senior Vessel Accounting Manager in preparing monthly vessel reports and variance analyses.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

Requirement

• Bachelors degree in accounting or professional accounting qualifications.
• Relevant experience in vessel accounting or ship management companies is highly advantageous.
• Strong accounting knowledge with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment and meet tight deadlines.
• Experience with ABS NS and/or Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central software is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
