Job summary

ACCA Careers is seeking a Valuation Associate for its Singapore office, APAC center of excellence, with opportunities to work on cross-border M&A assignments and broader advisory work. You will perform market research, build private-company valuation models, and value intangibles for financial reporting, tax or M&A, while applying international valuation standards.

Ideal candidates hold a finance/economics degree, at least 1 year of experience, and familiarity with S&P CIQ, Mergermarket,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics.
• Minimum 1 year experience.
• Relevant certifications (CFA, CVA, RICS or ASA) is a plus
• Able to work independently with little supervision
• Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills
• Familiar with common valuation methodologies and approaches
• Familiar with the use of research/technical tools such as S&P CIQ, Mergermarket, Bloomberg
• Basic understanding of relevant financial reporting standards
• Expertise in Microsoft Excel, Power Point and Word

Responsibilities

• Perform market and industry research
• Develop financial models to value private companies
• Identify and value intangible assets for financial reporting, tax or M&A purposes
• Analyse if the financial projections are reasonable by comparing against appropriate benchmarks
• Prepare and deliver high quality valuation reports in accordance with relevant international valuation standards and/or financial reporting standards
