Job summary

Recruit Express Pte Ltd is seeking a Junior MES Engineer to provide first-level support for MES applications and production equipment in a Singapore-based regional team. You will troubleshoot issues with IT and vendors, generate reports, and build dashboards to enhance manufacturing visibility.

You will assist with upgrades, validations, and continuous improvement initiatives across APAC sites. The role includes developing URS, testing, creating user guides, and training operators while focusing

Qualifications

• Min. Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, Automation, Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering.
• 0-1 year prior working experience in Manufacturing Execution Systems.
• Understanding of GMP-regulated environments will be beneficial.
• Training will be provided for junior MES Engineers.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-level support, monitoring and maintenance for MES applications and production equipment.
• Troubleshoot MES, system, machine and automation issues in collaboration with IT, Maintenance and external vendors.
• Generate reports and extract MES data to support operational decision-making and performance monitoring.
• Develop dashboards and visualizations using business intelligence tools to improve manufacturing performance visibility.
• Implement corrective and preventive actions to maintain and enhance production automation and system reliability.
• Support production teams in MES usage and adoption including training for new and existing users.
• Participate in system upgrades, validation, testing and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Regional APAC Support (China & India) as part of the Singapore-based regional MES team: Provide remote support and monitoring for MES systems and related equipment across regional sites.
• Troubleshoot issues in collaboration with local stakeholders, IT teams and vendors.
• Extend reporting, dashboarding and performance tracking to regional sites.
• Recommend and support automation and process improvement initiatives.
• Support deployment of new MES functionalities and digital initiatives across the region.
• Developing User Requirement Specifications (URS).
• Supporting functional testing, UAT, implementation and system rollouts.
• Creating and maintaining Work Instructions, user guides and training materials.
• Identifying and implementing continuous improvement and automation opportunities.
• Working with Engineering teams to develop maintenance training programs for operators.
• Identifying and developing shopfloor leaders and key operators.
• Supporting audits and ensuring compliance with Autonomous Maintenance standards.
• Developing and maintaining digital tools for tagging, cleaning, inspections and maintenance tracking.
• Leveraging digitalisation and automation to improve equipment reliability, process efficiency and operational performance.

Requirements

• min. Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, Automation, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related technical discipline
• Possess 0-1 year prior working experience in Manufacturing Execution Systems preferably in a science related industry
• Understanding of GMP-regulated environments will be beneficial
• Training will be provided for junior MES Engineers
