is seeking an MES Engineer to support the implementation, configuration, integration and maintenance of MES for pharmaceutical and biotechnology manufacturing projects in Singapore. The role collaborates with engineering, automation, manufacturing and quality teams to support MES solutions within a GMP-regulated environment and ensure data integrity across systems.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering, computer science, IT, automation or related field.
• Experience in MES, manufacturing IT, automation or systems support.
• Knowledge of at least one MES platform (Syncade, PAS-X, POMSnet, PharmaSuite).
• Understanding of pharmaceutical/biotech processes.
• Familiarity with EBR, recipe management, integration or workflows.
• Knowledge of GMP and validation frameworks (GAMP 5, CSV/CSA, 21 CFR Part 11).
• Experience in MES configuration, testing, troubleshooting or support.

Responsibilities

• Support MES implementation, configuration, testing and maintenance.
• Assist with electronic batch records, workflows and master data configuration.
• Support integration between MES and ERP, DCS, PLC, SCADA and labs.
• Participate in testing, commissioning, qualification and validation activities.
• Troubleshoot MES issues and support enhancements.
• Prepare technical documentation, test protocols and change records.
• Work with cross-functional teams to support manufacturing operations and digitalisation.
• Ensure activities follow GMP, data integrity and quality requirements.

Job description

We are seeking an MES Engineer to support the implementation, configuration, integration and maintenance of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) for pharmaceutical and biotechnology manufacturing projects in Singapore.

The role involves working with engineering, automation, manufacturing and quality teams to support MES solutions within a GMP-regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support MES implementation, configuration, testing and ongoing system maintenance.
• Assist with electronic batch records (EBR), manufacturing workflows, recipes and master data configuration.
• Support integration between MES and manufacturing systems, including ERP, DCS, PLC, SCADA and laboratory systems.
• Participate in system testing, commissioning, qualification and validation activities.
• Troubleshoot MES application issues and support system enhancements.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, test protocols and system change records.
• Work with cross-functional teams to support manufacturing operations and digitalisation initiatives.
• Ensure assigned activities follow applicable GMP, data integrity and quality requirements.

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Automation or a related technical discipline.

• Relevant experience in MES, manufacturing IT, industrial automation or manufacturing systems support.

• Working knowledge of at least one MES platform, such as Emerson Syncade, Körber PAS-X, POMSnet, Rockwell PharmaSuite or an equivalent MES system.

• Understanding of pharmaceutical or biotechnology manufacturing processes.

• Familiarity with electronic batch records (EBR), recipe management, system integration or manufacturing workflows.

• Working knowledge of GMP requirements and applicable validation or compliance frameworks, including GAMP 5, CSV/CSA or 21 CFR Part 11.

• Experience in MES configuration, testing, troubleshooting or application support.
