Job description

The role

We are seeking an experienced Continuous Improvement & Operations Manager to join our dynamic manufacturing/production team for our client. In this fulltime position, you will be responsible for driving continuous improvement initiatives and optimizing our operations to enhance efficiency and productivity.

What you'll be doing

• Lead the implementation of lean manufacturing principles and other continuous improvement methodologies across our manufacturing operations
• Analyze production data and identify opportunities for process improvements, waste reduction, and increased efficiency
• Develop and execute action plans to address identified improvement opportunities
• Monitor and report on key performance indicators, ensuring targets are met
• Collaborate cross-functionally with production, engineering, and maintenance teams to identify and resolve operational issues
• Provide coaching and mentoring to production staff to build a culture of continuous improvement
• Maintain a safe work environment by ensuring compliance with safety policies and procedures

What we're looking for

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a continuous improvement or operations management role within a manufacturing/production/plant environment
• Proven track record of successfully implementing lean manufacturing principles and driving continuous improvement initiatives
• Proficient in data analysis and the use of tools such as Kaizen, 5S, and Six Sigma
• Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills, with the ability to work autonomously
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate teams
• Familiarity with CNC machine operations and experience in a manufacturing setting involving CNC machinery
